Vintage flyer announcing the forthcoming publication of a book in honor of Dutch poet and anthologist Rosey E. Pool, limited to 250 copies and slated for publication on May 7, 1974 (Pool's birthday). She traveled to the United States in 1958 as a Fulbright scholar, where she worked as a guest lecturer and conference organizer at a number of universities in the deep south. She became an outspoken voice on behalf of the Civil Rights Movement, and was lauded for her work as an anthologist of African American poetry, editing many volumes in both English and Dutch before her death in 1971. 8.25 x 11.75 inches.
