The price is not clipped and nothing 'live' is affected. The book itself has a slight lean, and the spine of the binding is creased slightly at the top. All corners are firm and unbumped. There are no inscriptions, no ownership names, and no damage to the text block. Very Good sounds worse than it turns out to be, because the impression of this book in the hand is clean and tight.
