Zustand: Fair. 1907. No Edition Remarks. 188 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering. Pages remain bright and clear with minimal tanning and foxing. More pronounced to endpapers. Noticeable cracking to gutters and hinges, with exposed netting. Binding is weakened. Thumb-marking present. Pen inscription stuck to front free endpaper. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends, splits to joints, some loss to cloth and rub wear all over. Heavy tanning to spine and edges. Water staining to boards.

First edition. Privately published, Dedham. 1907. Hardback. Blue cloth, gilt type to spine and upper board. Extremities slightly rubbed and bumped; overall a nice copy of this scarce title.

2pp., 12mo. On bifolium. In good condition, on aged paper. Addressed to 'My dear friend', the letter concerns the ordination of a 'man' who 'seems promising'. He states that it will be necessary before accepting him to ask for a college testimonial: 'This is adviseable [sic] lest there be anything of which you do not know.' After discussing the 'Exam[inatio]n. for Deacon's orders' he states: 'I am glad to see that you are Rural Dean of Dedham. The Dean told me that he had seen your appointment, but it escaped me.' He is 'holding an Ordination on Whitsunday. I suppose he could not be here a week before that.' After a few more comments the letter concludes.
