Rather heavy wear to binding, with tears to cloth at edges and extremities, hard scattered rubbing, sunning to spine, and lettering faded from spine. Rear hinge tender and text block shaken; binding remains sound. Previous owner's inscription to front pastedown. Foxing to endpapers. Loose plate carefully reinserted with archival adhesive between pages 52 and 53, but with creasing to center and chipping to margins. Pages gently toned and occasionally creased or dog-eared, else unmarked, but with notes and ephemera laid in throughout, including: an April 1945 proclamation closing businesses and opening churches in Newnan, Georgia to honor the death of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. This is an admittedly worn but solid and very scarce 1928 first edition of this hundred year history and genealogy of Coweta County, Georgia, compiled for the Sarah Dickinson Chapter in Newnan of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
