Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Poor. First Edition. 1st printing. Cloth. 174pp. Map. Index. 174pp. Foreword & Introduction by Cunningham on the work of Prettyman, the historically important Oklahoma & Kansas photographer. The balance of the book is comprised of the Prettyman's photos of Indians, cowboys, home-seekers, the opening of the Cherokee Strip, & even a dead outlaw. Descriptions are supplied by Cunningham. A magnificent collection, including the iconic photo shot of the actual opening of the Strip from the Kansas line. A fine copy as to the book itself. However, the front panel of the dj is torn away and gone about 3" in and tothe fore edge all the way down. I. e., front panel 4/5ths present. Sad, but I can't do anything about it. Back panel has a couple of chips. Herd 1837, 6-guns 1763.
