Bound in half dark brown pebbled morroco, boards of slightly different texture red/brown pebbled morroco. 5 raised ribs. "HOGARTH",in gilt, on 2nd panel. Other panels with gilt floral design. Upper board with gilt bust of Hogarth. All text block edges bright gilt. FLAWS: (1) Worn tips, edges & extrems. BE AWARE: Scans did NOT capture this wear accurately. (2) Upper inner hinge paper cracked, hinge still sound. (3) Internally virtually flawless. Every 10th or so page may have a tiny spot of foxing. (4) Plates have offset to their tissue guards, This dealer has checked each page, plate AND tissue guard; all are FINE. ALSO: binding very tight, book tends to stay closed when stood on spine.
