Zustand: Good. 1st Edition. Full reversed calf leather binding. Spine with five raised bands and title label. Wear to ends of spine and board edges. Front joint cracked, board loose and held by cords only. Stain to lower 3cm of all pages, heaviest to the first 20 leaves and last 50 leaves. Leaves 6Si, 6Sii, 6Siii and 65iv are mis-numbered as expected. Previous owner's name to leading blank. First printing of Robertson's Hebrew-Latin Bible concordance. Wing R1621; ESTC: R28804. Encuadernación de tapa dura. Zustand: Aceptable-Bien. 1ª Edición. El lexicógrafo escocés y erudito oriental W. Robertson (m. 1686) estudió en Edimburgo. De 1653 a 1680 vivió en la ciudad de Londres y enseñó Hebreo. En 1680 fue nombrado profesor universitario de Hebreo en Cambridge. Cuidada letra tipográfica a dos columnas sobre buen papel del S. XVII, todas las páginas esmeradamente recuadradas y con títulaciones en Hebreo en todas las encabezamientos de las páginas. Con fatigada pero muy atractiva encuadernación en cuero pasta dura de la época, deterioros en esquinas, rozaduras, y leves pérdidas de cuero en planos cubiertas y lomo, aún con todo, bonita y valiosa encuadernación de época con cinco nervios y profusión de bellos adornos en oro en el lomo (leve pérdida de cuero en parte superior). Leves pérdidas en esquinas de las hojas de cortesía. Interior en aceptable buen estado. Con muy aceptable estado de conservación para su tiempo. Textos en Latín y Hebreo (algunos en Griego). El Autor, erudito Escocés de Hebreo, creía que la gente común y corriente podía aprender hebreo con un mínimo de conocimientos lingüísticos. En el Interregno recibió el apoyo de mecenas como John Sadler , William Steele y Lady Katherine Ranelagh y pudo publicar libremente. En teología siguió a David Dickson y Robert Douglas. Después de 1660 tuvo poco apoyo y perdió gran parte de su versión del Nuevo Testamento hebreo de Elias Hutter en el Gran Incendio de Londres.
