It survived 40 editions, being used as late as 1730. An English translation by Richard Jonas was published in 1540, printed by Thomas Raynalde. This translation, entitled 'The Byrth of Mankynde' was the first book on the subject to be printed in English. There were three variant editions in 1513, for which no clear priority has been established. All were printed from different type by different printers. One is dated and the other two are not, One was reproduced in facsimile in 1910 at Munich and at Zurich, J. Stocker, 1977.' Original full leather, all edges gilt. Near Fine.

Der "Rosegarten", 1513 bei Martin Flach in Straßburg herausgebracht, war, soweit bekannt, Rößlins einziges schriftstellerisches Werk, das sich in deutscher Sprache als Ratgeber zu Schwangerschaft und Geburtshilfe vor allem an Mütter und Hebammen wendet.
