Second edition, corrected of the mistakes of the first which was published in 1666. Scaliger was the successor of Justus Lipsius at the Leiden University and the son of Julius Caesar Scaliger, the archenemy of Cardanus and Erasmus. Two ex libris, one from the Forbes Library, Northampton Massachusset and one of the XVIII century from Robert Menzies, he landed in Virginia in 1716, an ancient Scottish family. Their slogan is "Will God I Shall". See pictures.
