Condition notes: Though encased in a clearly institutional over-binding, there are no additional stamps or stickers typical of e.g. library binding; inside cover of the publisher's front wrapper shows remnant paper from a label previously affixed with adhesive and later removed. Pages unmarked, with general light tanning. Uncommon on the market. Previous owner has laid in a b&w photocopied article "California's Tsarist Colony" from History Today, 1992, Vol 42.
