Realisierte Bauten in den USA und der Schweiz werden aus einer anderen als der erwarteten Perspektive betrachtet. Es sind dies etwa das Aerial Tram in Portland, das Dock E im Flughafen Zürich, der Hauptsitz der internationalen Naturschutzorganisation IUCN am Genfersee, die Umnutzung der Waschanstalt in Zürich oder das Kindermuseum Los Angeles. Die 17 Bauwerke werden nicht als isolierte Objekte, sondern mitsamt ihrem Umfeld beschrieben.
