Title page inscribed and signed by Robert Capa: "To Rona, hoping that he won't have to pay for my Paris hotel bills again. Capa." the inscription refers to Capa's early years in…Paris, at a time when he didn't have enough money to pay for his hotel rooms. At one point, the manager of the hotel he stayed at confiscated his shoes, thus Rona had to bail him out (Whelan, 1994.)
