In the publisher's original green paper wraps.The Bookman Portfolio was a series of special Christmas publications produced in the early 20th century by The Bookman, a British literary journal published by Hodder & Stoughton.This copy contains three loose colour plates, engraved and printed by Henry Stone & Son Ltd., Banbury.The first plate is of Act 5, scene II, depicting Hamlet's death.The second plate is also of Act 5, scene II, depicting Laertes with the poisoned and sharpened rapier.The third plate is of Act 5, scene II, depicting Hamlet's death. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, smart. One or two spots to wraps with one small spot of damp staining to the front wrap. rubbing and bumping to extremities, resulting in the odd crease, with one or two small chips and closed tears to extremities. Slight age toning to perimeters. Plates bright and clean, if slightly age toned with the odd minor crease and handling mark. Very Good. book.
