A 1965 reprint of the first edition of 1958. Finely bound by Bayntun of Bath in half red crushed, polished, morocco, spine richly gilt with raised bands, marbled endpapers, heraldic crest of the Island to upper board. SIGNED TO TITLE PAGE 'WITH COMPLIMENTS CHARLES KERRUISH SPEAKER HOUSE OF KEYS. and with the large Westminster exlibris to front free endpaper of Sir Gerald Nabarro, M.P. CONDITION: A fine copy. FURTHER COMMENTS An excellent association copy: Sir Charles Kerruish was Speaker of the House of Keys from 1962 until 1990 and the most prominent Isle of Man politician of the period. Sir Gerald Nabarro was a Conservative MP, well known for his eccentricities and self publicity. He died in 1973, but is not known for any political involvement with the island in question but may well have visited in some official capacity when this volume would have been presented.
