Quarto-size, unpaginated but gathered in 4s, the last signature being T, so 320 pages, more or less, plus half-tone and colourtype plates; publisher's blue paper-covered boards backed in cloth of a similar shade with a colourtype plate laid on as front cover. Good. no writing, mark-up, labels or other defacememts, clean and pleasant; no jacket. Pictures show this actual book. UK orders are post-free.

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Cyrus Cuneo (illustrator). 1st Edition. Published during World War One. A series of 11 essays on the various combatants in the Great War. Aimed at a Juvenile to general market. 96pp, 4 plates [three double sided - b&w & colour l; one one-sided. The four color images are by the noted artist and illustrator - Cyrus Cuneo [3 signed, one not]. The colour illustration to the front cover is also most likely by Cuneo. OInaddition the book contains many b&w illustrations in the text as well as a number of small maps. Interior is clean, pages white. Only mark is a gift inscription to the ffep dated Christmas 1916. This book, while meeting the weight restriction, is too thick to qualify for Canada Post Lettermail - rate shown - therefore additional postage will be needed, the amount depending on destination and speed. 'British Empire--type of boy's stories. Two stories take place in Canada, one in India the other location unknown. 78pp, b&w illustrations. Internally bright and clean. Binding is tight and square. Rear wrapper rubbed. Front wrapper, illustrated with a Western scene, is bright and clean. Spine shows vertical creasing. Quite decent for type! Weight, 154g. Size: 6.25" Tall. Book.

One of Mrs Strang's Unbreakable Books, contains 6 boards featuring 2 illustrations bound together at spine. Illustrators include Govey, Brock, Sowerby. Sadly although the board were indeed unbreakable the top edges have suffered a liquid spillage but does not impinge on pictures. Front cover generally clean, rear has scuffing.

Hardback. Zustand: Very Good. First Edition. Very good copy. Clean with a prize plate paste down on the back of the front board. Open pages are white with closed page ends starting to fox. Covers are vivid with very little wear. Binding is tight. Front cover illustrated with a speedboat at sea with a tall ship in the background and a Buoy on the spine.192 Pages, 960g, 10" Tall. First story is "In Dock on an Iceberg, a yarn of the Antarctic Seas" related by Captain Black. Hard Boards. Zustand: Very Good Minus. 62pp. Illustrated with numerous full page line drawings and other decorations in the text. Colour frontispiece. Cloth spine with decorative hard boards. Loss of the paper cover to the boards at the rear lower corner for 2 cm. Rubbing to the corners of the boards. Slight splitting between the two front end papers for 2 cm however the boards remain firm. A little rubbing and thinning to the rear end paper along the edge. A little loss 2 page edge of p40. Very occasional slight soil spots to the pages but overall clean and tight. A very good copy of this childrens book.

First Story is "The Bronze Man" by Brenda Girvin. 3/4" Tall. Slight edgewear and a few chips to cover. Pages and pictures in very nice, clean condition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
