Aufgrund dieser Annahme raeumte man muslimischen Patientinnen in den Quellen vergleichsweise wenig Platz ein, auch wenn Fallstudien und Statistiken klar zeigen, dass es sich dabei um eine imaginaere Abwesenheit handelte, die den Alltagserfahrungen der Psychiater klar widersprach. Man…y psychiatric experts claimed that Muslim women rarely went 'mad' and that they only accounted for a negligible percentage of the patients cared for by colonial psychiatrists.
