Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing as indicated by the publisher's "1" in the number line on copyright page, book is in excellent condition with one minor flaw: a mild lean to the spine, the binding is tight and clean and the contents are fine, the jacket is also in excellent condition, a tiny bit of edge-wrinkling at the corners of the spine-ends is the only remarkable flaw and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, "the first to give comprehensive information on field identification (including voice) covering all species and races for which details are known," includes color plates and range maps; 600 pages.
