Will Grohmann in his introduction belabors the fact that contemporary art doesn't seem to have a direction, respectively a defined style, but that everything is pawned off as a novelty that was already new at some time since the Romantic era until now. The artists exhibiting he signifies as the generation after Picasso and the fact that links them to form the "Zone 5" is their desire to experiment. With an introduction by Will Grohmann and contributions by Rebecca West and Antoine Tudal. Also known as the "Intimate Notebooks" of Braque, for the longest time kept from the public, this collection from the workbooks was selected by Braque himself.
