Publisher's quarter pale grey leather, grey cloth boards blocked in gilt to a special design by Jeff Clements, top edge grey. Maps of Middle-earth and The Shire as endpapers, printed in blue and white. In the publisher's grey slipcase trimmed in black. Contents clean, no inscriptions. A little soiling to covers, leather a little rubbed, likewise to slipcase. Very good. The first illustrated edition of The Lord of the Rings.
