Zustand: Wear to edges ow vg. vii,291 Pp. James Tory (1862-1944) was born in Port Shoreham, Guysborough County, N.S. and educated at McGill. He became the General Manager of the Sun Life for Canada between 1915 and 1925 and from 1921 to 1925 served as Minister Without Portfolio in the Murray and Armstrong Cabinets. In the latter year he was appointed Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, a position he held until 1930. Half dark blue calf with gilt to spine & blue cloth boards.
