Tips and spine ends bumped & rubbed, some markings on boards and two small rub-throughs on frt board fore-edge. Tape residue on age-toned endpapers. Foxing on preliminaries and light finger soil on periphery throughout. 343pp text is tight and crisp despite a couple of spine cracks. Tiny hole in margin at foot of four leaves. No dust wrapper. All there but not 'pretty'. Great working copy of a very uncommon and exhaustive reference, well illustrated with 213 b/w illustrations by Harrison Weir, Zwecker and others, plus four color plates.
