Softcover/Paperback. Zustand: As New. Author: Anders Wester; Jonathan Letnam; Raphael Rubinstein | Edition: 1st, limited to 1000 oopies | Number Of Pages: 222 | Publisher: Jarla Partilager | Release Date: 01-12-2013 | Details: Another beautiful book production from Jarla Partilager, accompanying the Berlin exhibition of Charles Long. Charles Long's interest in opposing formal and metaphysical forces informs a complex sculptural lexicon marked by radical stylistic shifts that are difficult to categorize. Incorporating an extraordinarily rich range of media, his process-based sculptures continuously show the artist's struggle to connect the cosmos to the physical world, inside space to outside, through what the artist describes as the "implosion or explosion" of materials. Though visually the organically shaped sculptures recall the modernist works of Constantin Brancusi, Isamu Noguchi, or Theodore Roszak, their nonrepresentational ambiguity encourages surrealistic interpretive free associations. The book also includes a conversation with John Currin. opics:1992-2013, American artist, sculpture, installations, pastels Editor:Anders Wester Designed by:Anders Wester, Fredrik Axell Text by:Jonathan Letnam, Raphael Rubinstein Contributions by:John Currin ISBN:9783000423628 Publisher:Jarla Partilager Publ. year:2013 Language:English Pages:222 Illustrations:125 colour Width x height:195 x 250 (mm) Binding:softcover Weight:890 g Edition:limited to 1000 copies Exhibition:Jarla Partilager, Berlin 2013-2014 Contrary to listing this ISBN is | EAN: 9783000423628 | Package Dimensions: 10.5 x 8.0 x 1.3 inches | Item Note: Unread; includes original protective cardboard case. | Item Condition: UsedLikeNew.…
