In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: Fair. 1st Edition. xiv, 761 p. front., illus., plates, ports., maps (part fold.) 29 x 25 cm. This copy ex libris, but no external marks. A small tear to the leather at the top of the spine (about 2 cm.) and wear to the leather corners. Several "withdrawn" stamps to the front end papers, but few (if any) library marks otherwise. A couple of the folding maps misfolded and worn outside of the text block. I believe that this was a copy donated to the library, but never cataloged. An affordable copy of a rare work.

It notes that Washington, "one of the most eminent members" of the National Academy of Sciences was fluent in 10 languages.
