The collective was started by Margo Machida, Ken Chu, and Bing Lee in an effort to combat institutional racism in the art world and increase visibility for Asian American artists within the art world. It staged exhibitions, published newsletters, and engaged in critical discourse that highlighted racism within the art world. This issue with a lengthy essay by Margo Machida on "Asian American Artists and the Whitney Biennial: a question of inclusivity." A few shorter present, along with listings pertaining to the arts. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present, as issued. Some wrinkling, creasing and toning. Minor staining along the spine, with a few tiny splits along the spine fold.
