Preston drew the Peek-A-Boo characters and backgrounds while Howard-Vyse rendered all the rabbit figures. Preston (1887-1969) was the illustrator and writer of many British children's books, most published between 1910 and 1934, when she received a substantial inheritance and more or less removed herself from public view.
