This book examines the emergence of ecclesiastical hierarchy and the role of archbishops, bishops, and priests, arguing that their authority is unscriptural and inconsistent with the model of church governance established by Christ and the Apostles. The author traces the historical evolution of hierarchical structures in the church, demonstrating that they arose gradually over time and were shaped by factors such as political expediency and human ambition. The book also highlights the ways in which hierarchical power has been abused, leading to oppression and persecution of dissenting voices. Ultimately, the author argues for a return to the scriptural model of church government, emphasizing the importance of humility, service, and accountability among leaders. This book offers a sharp critique of ecclesiastical hierarchy and challenges readers to reconsider the nature of true authority in the church.
