This book recounts the authors' experiences on a historic journey as part of a delegation of three ministers sent by the Church of Scotland to British North America. The group sought to strengthen bonds with their brethren in the colonies and to provide aid to those in spiritual destitution. Through lively descriptions and anecdotes, the authors provide fascinating insights into the lives of Scottish Presbyterians living in Colonial America. The text explores the challenges, hopes, and faith of these early pioneers, highlighting the differences and similarities between their experiences and those of their Scottish counterparts. The authors also discuss the practicalities of the delegation's mission, including the construction of churches, the training of ministers, and the establishment of a sustainable religious community. An engaging blend of historical narrative and commentary, this book extends the story of Scottish Presbyterianism beyond the borders of Scotland, offering a glimpse into the resilience and dedication of its colonial adherents.
