Born into a family of devout Quakers, Sarah was exposed to the faith's values from an early age. As a young woman, she began to sense a call to ministry and, after a period of preparation and testing, she was recognized as a minister by her local Quaker meeting. Sarah's ministry was characterized by a deep commitment to the Quaker testimonies of simplicity, peace, and equality. She traveled extensively, preaching to both Quakers and non-Quakers alike. Her sermons were known for their clarity, their depth of spiritual insight, and their power to move hearts. Sarah's writings reveal a woman of deep faith, unwavering courage, and a compassionate heart. She was a strong advocate for the rights of women and for the abolition of slavery. Her work helped to shape the Quaker movement in its early years, and her legacy continues to inspire Quakers and non-Quakers alike.
