It is a rich resource for daily events in Britain in the early 19th century, providing an insight into everything from royal events to the cost of basic goods. Almanacs such as these were immensely popular at the time, covering a wide range of topics including historical and religious events, astronomical data, weather forecasts, and even medical advice. The author used the almanac to discuss wider social and political issues, mirroring the complex political and economic changes of the period, including The Napoleonic Wars and the Industrial Revolution. By showing the everyday and seasonal changes in the early 19th century, it helps modern readers understand how the past was different and yet still familiar. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
