Isbn: 9780260389749 - suggested stocking levels for forest stands in northeastern oregon and southeastern washington (classic reprint) (1 Ergebnisse)

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book offers a new method for estimating the upper stocking limits for managed stands of various species and species mixes in different plant associations, with applications for the Blue and Ochoco Mountains and the Wallowa-Snake Province of northeastern Oregon and southeastern Washington. The method is based on the relationship between basal area and stand density index (SDI), and incorporates assumptions about the relationship between SDI and stocking. The authors provide tables and figures to assist with the application of the method, and discuss the implications of the results for forest health and management. This book is a valuable resource for foresters, land managers, and researchers interested in developing stocking level guidelines for managed stands in the Pacific Northwest.
