It examines the founding of Ogden City and the surrounding region by Mormon pioneers, following their arrival in the Salt Lake Valley in 1847. The narrative traces the challenges and growth experienced by these early settlers as they established their communities, including their struggles with Indian conflict, famines, and the development of industries such as dairy farming and mining. The work also explores the organization of Weber County and the Weber Stake, significant milestones in the area's administrative and religious history.
