Rooted in a time of religious revival, the church played a vital role in the abolitionist movement and provided aid during the Civil War. The challenges of the 20th century, including the Great Depression and World Wars, only strengthened the congregation's resolve to serve its community and promote social justice. Throughout its history, Westminster Presbyterian Church has been a beacon of hope and a catalyst for positive change, adhering to the principles of its founders to embrace beauty, order, and the enduring light of faith in the face of adversity.
