Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the historical theories and debates surrounding the treatment of "concussion" and "compression" of the brain. The author presents a new theory on the nature of brain injuries resulting from external violence. Challenging the existing medical views of the time, the author argues that these diagnoses and the treatments they guide are incorrect. They provide an alternative theory supported by evidence from their own practice, arguing that most concussions are actually cases of compression and should be treated as such. The book includes a detailed analysis of the causes, symptoms, and treatment of brain injuries, offering a fresh perspective on a topic of critical importance in medical science and practice.
