It is an ex-college library… book, but it looks only lightly used. Text is clean and free of markings such as underlining and marginal notes. No stains or tears. Firm binding, no loose pages. Again, book has hardly any wear. It is in a way a companion volume to Doubt and Dogmatism (on the epistemology of the Hellenistic schools), for the papers in this book were delivered at a conference in Paris following up an earlier conference at Oxford [proceedings published as Doubt and Dogmatism]. Doubt and Dogmatism is something of a classic work on epistemology, especially skepticism. But this book focuses more on science. More info/photo on request.
