A bung maze is what the asylum seeker is what the asylum seeker must negotiate in order to find a new home in an unknown place. For the refugee, the world is like a broken puzzle, full of dead ends and blocks that cannot have been foreseen. For the millions of people fleeing danger, the flight to safety often brings them into a strange grey world of broken promises. Although these pictures and poems are abstract in their manner, they will help the reader/viewer to meditate on the desperate situation of the asylum seeker in the world today.…
