Bound in publisher's glossy color pictorial wrappers, reproduction of Rublev's Old Testament Trinity to front. [iv], v-viii, 254, [255-6] blank. Author's preface, text, notes passim. Condition notes: a good-plus reading copy, formerly owned by an orthodox priest, whose red stamp graces a few pages; numerous pages have underlining or light yellow highlighting. Binding is sound, with a crease just beginning to spine: treat this one with some care and it will serve you well. An erudite resource for Orthodox Christians and Byzantine Rite Catholics for the cycle of church worship. The 'Monk' later became known as Lev Gillet, who has provided a thorough and thoughtful guidebook to the many ins and outs of the Eastern calendar. A great addition to the bookshelf of the faithful and the inquiring. We personally inspect every book we offer.
