At the stage when this private collection was gifted to the state of Ontario in return for an undertaking that it would be looked after in perpetuity by the Province, it consisted of some 300 paintings by The Group of Seven, Tom Thomson and their contemporaries, including Emily Carr and David Milne. It has since been broadened to include Indian and Eskimo (Intuit) prints, sculptures and paintings as well as work from a wide selection of artists. The contents are in FINE condition apart from an owners label and the cover has some wear and creasing. n.
