Colour map inside front cover.; B&W Photographs; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 296 pages; This started out as a memorial to the soldiers of Gananoque, Ontario, using the letters to preserve their words for historical purposes but as they continued their research they discovered letters from soldiers in other parts of Canada. So, they expanded their focus. Along with the letters, the authors include some background of the action or battle in which the soldier was involved as well as some background about the soldier. This is a touching tribute.
