Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Maximiliani Hell . Observatio Transitus Veneris Ante Discum Solis Die 5ta Junii 1761 presents a detailed account of Maximilian Hell's observations of the transit of Venus across the sun's disc on June 5, 1761. The work includes observations of Jupiter's satellites conducted at the CÃ]sarean Royal Public University Observatory. Furthermore, it incorporates additional observations of the Venus transit, contributing to a comprehensive scientific record of this rare astronomical event. This volume offers valuable insights into 18th-century astronomical practices and celestial mechanics, appealing to historians of science and astronomy enthusiasts alike. The meticulous documentation and detailed observations make this a significant historical document for understanding early scientific methods in astronomical observation. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
