The book contains two historical plays, Elidure and Edward, both of which are set in medieval England. The first play, Elidure, is based on the story of Elidure, a legendary king of Britain who is said to have ruled during the 9th century. The play follows Elidure as he struggles to maintain his power and protect his kingdom from invading armies. Along the way, he must confront betrayal and treachery from those closest to him.The second play, Edward, is based on the life of Edward II, a real-life king of England who ruled during the 14th century. The play explores the tumultuous reign of Edward II, which was marked by political intrigue, rebellion, and ultimately his own downfall. Both plays are written in a dramatic style, with dialogue and action that bring the historical characters to life. The book provides a unique perspective on two important periods in English history, and is a valuable resource for anyone interested in medieval England or historical drama. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
