It examines the morphology of these parasites, their intermediate hosts, and the impact of infection on the host bird. The author presents a detailed analysis of the life cycle of Choanotaenia infundibuliformis, including its development within the common housefly and the resulting effects on the chicken host. This book also explores the pathology of cestode infections, particularly the nodular taeniasis caused by Davainea echinobothrida, a spiny-suckered form that damages the intestinal wall, revealing the pathological consequences of these parasites. The research presented in this book contributes to our understanding of the biology and effects of cestode infections in poultry, providing valuable insights for poultry farmers and veterinarians. It highlights the importance of understanding the life cycles of these parasites to develop effective control and prevention strategies.
