Written by a mathematician from ancient Greece, it is one of the oldest surviving mathematical texts and is still relevant to the field today. The propositions range from simple rules to more complex proofs regarding topics such as geometry, arithmetic, and algebra. Readers will appreciate the author's systematic approach to exploring these fundamental concepts and seeing how they connect to different aspects of geometry. This text further provides a historical perspective on the development of mathematical ideas, showing how these concepts have been understood and applied throughout history. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
