This book examines the policies and actions of the State Department's Voice of America and provides insight into the individuals in charge of distributing information to counter foreign communist propaganda and promote a positive image of the United States. The author cites specific instances where content was edited to downplay the threat of communism, presenting a problematic narrative that fails to counter Soviet disinformation. The author goes into great detail about the importance of the Voice of America's mission and its struggles to maintain an anti-communist stance during the height of the Cold War.
