Paperback. Zustand: new. Paperback. On the Blue Ridge Line is a collection of country-folk-blues lyrics, as well as an exploration of the creative process, in prose. Some of the lyrics are romantic, some focus on nature, and a number touch on social justice issues, including the experience of poverty and homelessness. The exposition regarding creative process is grounded in Eastern philosophy and humanistic psychology. This work is informed by the author's work as a community and school counselor, his background as a poet, essayist, and singer-songwriter, as well as his experience as a civil rights worker and advocate for the poor. Reader comments: "So many people wrestle with writer's block at times, when things are at a kind of an impasse. This book will set them back on course and lead them through the ways to unearth inspiration" (Doni Marz, singer-songwriter, San Francisco, CA)."As a psychoanalyst, I am impressed with the psychic wisdom in Patrick Frank's new book, "On the Blue Ridge Line". he is able to weave dreamwork, creativity and philosophy into a song, which he includes in the latter portion of the book as lyrics. The author has been through a lot on the Blue Ridge Line! (Lou Haygood, New York City) This item is printed on demand.
