This volume contains a complete collection of Mary Queen of Scot's poetry, much of which was composed at crisis points in her life. The original French is included, along with historical notes. Excellent book with both the English and French versions of this poetry. Touching, even heart-wrenching poetry from the heart of one of mankind's most beautiful souls. This woman was such a treasure: betrayed, slandered and misunderstood. Full of Queen Marie's sonnets and portraits of her and her times. It's also presented with a very attractive font on high-quality paper. Ordered by her aunt to write a few lines in her Mass Book, she plays on the word 'order' in French: "Si ce lieu est pour écrire ordonné" . "Et que nul temps m'en ôte l'ordonnance." ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 112 pages First Edition Thus (1991), so stated. First Printing indicated by acomplete numerical sequence; First Printing.…
