Multiparticulate dosage forms are pharmaceutical formulations in which the active substance is present as a number of small independent subunits with diameter of 0.05-2.00 mm. In case of oral products micropellets solve difficult taste-masking problems while maintaining a high degree of bioavailability due to smaller in size (10 - 600 µm). Due to their unique properties and flexibility of manufacturing involved, micropellets are expected to continue to play a major role in the fabrication of solid dosage forms. 104 pp. Englisch.
