The objective of the present study is to compare the effectiveness of three antimicrobial solutions namely :- 1% Povidone Iodine , 0.2% Ciprofloxacin , 0.5% Metronidazole with 0.9% Normal Saline as control group ,bacteriologically through culture test against clinically isolated bacteria from patient requiring endodontic treatment. A total number of 60 anterior permanent teeth were selected from 45 patients between the age group of 10 to 15 years.Out of all the irrigants, 0.5% Metronidazole showed the maximum antimicrobial effect followed by 0.2%ciprofloxacin and then 1 % povidone iodine .Normal saline should the least antibacterial effect. 100 pp. Englisch.…
