It was one of the first of the super session blues albumssetting a blues master among famous musicians from the second generationof rock and roll, such as Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Charlie Wattsand Bill Wyman. Backstage at the Fillmore Auditorium, after a concert bythe Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Electric Flag, and Cream, Chess Recordsstaff producer Norman Dayron spotted the guitar players of the lattertwo bands, Michael Bloomfield and Eric Clapton, talking and jokingaround. Dayron approached Clapton and, on impulse, asked 'how would youlike to do an album with Howlin' Wolf ' After confirming that the offerwas legitimate, Clapton agreed, and Dayron set up sessions in Londonthrough the Chess organizaton to coordinate with Clapton's schedule.VDM Verlag, Dudweiler Landstraße 99, 66123 Saarbrücken 100 pp. Englisch.
