Development of analytical model, Validation of analytical model and Comparison of torsional capacity of RC beams with 'U' wraps, with full wraps and without wrapping. The work is divided into four phases such as Development of Analytical Model, Experimental work on Normal strength beams, Experimental works on High strength Beams and Validation of Analytical model. The torque twist response of a ferrocement 'U' wrap reinforced beam is more influenced by the state of torsion than the amount of mesh reinforcement of ferrocement. Transversely over reinforced concrete beams showed overall increase in torque, twist and toughness over longitudinally over reinforced beams with 'U' wrap. 228 pp. Englisch.
