Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - The author's first book dives into the mind and body of Bruce, a war hero, a multiple Purple Heart winner, and a legal drug abuser. His journey is marked by turmoil behind a carefully crafted façade that could crumble at any minute. Despite a chest full of medals, is Bruce brave enough to take a leap of faith for the woman who loves him This book soars from a high school basketball court to an Afghan battlefield to the Governor's Mansion and beyond, giving an insider's look to the chaotic landscape that is American electorial circus, reminding the reader that 'politics is war without bloodshed while war is politics with bloodshed.'The reviews:'The story has a good pace and is easy to read. Gives some nice inside information through a likable character. Would have liked to have more at the end when things were really getting interesting. Maybe the hinted sequel ''Great debut from a new author. Nicely developed characters. Wonderful love story woven throughout without overwhelming the story. Would love to know what happens next.'---JT Hume started life as a rambling man. Born in El Paso while his US Army parents were stationed in Texas, he's been boots-dry in forty-plus states and lived in three countries. He's a proud Nevadan and product of the Silver State's K12 and higher education system, and he proudly served in the United States Air Force. The best decision he ever made was when he asked Cassidy Carson to marry him. The jury is still out on whether accepting said proposal was Cassidy's best decision.JT Hume's books are formed from his knowledge and interest in politics, government, and Nevada. His characters are pushed through strategies honed over many years of playing bad chess. You might say his books are flavored with the love and romance he's shared with his soulmate over their decades together. Please read his books and reach out to him with questions, corrections, or constructive criticism.
